It is the concrete fact that you are using to support your Topic Sentence.

5. Commentary 1 It is indicated with the letters “CM1”. It is an opinion.
It addresses the Concrete Detail in the context of the source material (novel, poem, movie, speech, etc).
It is also used to transition from the Concrete Detail to Commentary 2.

6. Commentary 2 It is indicated with the letters “CM2”. It is an opinion.
It addresses the Concrete Detail in the context of the Topic Sentence.

7. Concluding Statement It is indicated with the letters “CS”.
It is an opinion.
It is used to fill in gaps of information or to tie up loose ends that isn’t clear.
It is not essential to have a Concluding Statement.
