1 Parts of a Body Paragraph

2 Disclaimer This is information that needs to go in a body paragraph.
It is not an order to place these parts in a body paragraph. Though you can move the parts around, it still needs to make sense in the order that you place them in. Be sure to transition each part well into the next part.

3 Topic Sentence It is indicated with the letters “TS” It is an opinion.
In support of your thesis, it is the focus of your body paragraph that you will prove throughout it.

4 Concrete Details It is indicated with the letters “CD” It is a fact.
It is the concrete fact that you are using to support your Topic Sentence.

5 Commentary 1 It is indicated with the letters “CM1”. It is an opinion.
It addresses the Concrete Detail in the context of the source material (novel, poem, movie, speech, etc). It is also used to transition from the Concrete Detail to Commentary 2.

6 Commentary 2 It is indicated with the letters “CM2”. It is an opinion.
It addresses the Concrete Detail in the context of the Topic Sentence.

7 Concluding Statement It is indicated with the letters “CS”.
It is an opinion. It is used to fill in gaps of information or to tie up loose ends that isn’t clear. It is not essential to have a Concluding Statement.

Create an outline on the following prompt. Correctly label & color-code each part, leaving space between each part for peer review comments. Besides trust, choose another quality that you think is important in a romantic relationship that is reflected in Much Ado About Nothing. For your Concrete Details, choose two quotes that is an example of the importance of that quality (the quotes should not involve the same characters).
