Pictures Part 1 Open a web browser and visit Google Maps

Under the ‘Insert’ tab, click screenshot, and choose the window displaying Google Maps Double click the image to activate the “Format” tab Click the “Crop” button Grab the handles to crop the image. Isolate an area just beyond Grawn Hall and the Park Library. 3) 4) 5)

Pictures Part 3 Return to the “Home” tab
Within the “Drawing” pane select the “Scribble” tool Draw a line* along the sidewalk from the front doors of the library to the front doors of Grawn Hall 2) 3) *this does not need to be perfect

Pictures Part 4 Double click your scribble Under “Shape Outline” 2)
Select the color red Change the Weight to 2 ¼ pt. Under Dashes choose “Round Dot” 2) 2c) 2a) 2b) 2c)

Pictures Part 5 Under the “Home” tab select the “Rectangle” tool
Click “Shape Fill” and select the color red Click “Shape Outline” and choose “No Outline” Use the “Rectangle” tool (and the “Oval” tool) to cover Grawn Hall and the Park Library. 3)

Pictures Part 6 Use your mouse to select everything except the map image Right click your selection and choose “Group” 2)

Pictures Part 7 Select the “Rectangle” tool and use it to completely cover the map image Double click the rectangle Under “Shape Fill” choose “More Fill Colors…” Under the “Standard” tab Select the color white Set transparency to 50% 4) 4a) 4b)

Pictures Part 8 Sample Right click your translucent rectangle
Click “Send to Back” Right click the map image Sample 2) 4)

Pictures Save Save this file as a PDF Name this file:
“FirstName LastName Pictures Tutorial.pdf” Upload the file to BlackBoard Under the “Tutorials” Tab
