Discussion What does it mean that you get an A in ENGL 202?
It means your paper is ready for submission? If so, what do you do next? If not, what do you have to do next? Why do you need to publish your work?

Myths ONLY famous professors can publish their articles.

Step 1: Going to Journals/ Websites
Read carefully the FIRST/TOP page in a journal or on a website. Find the page entitled: For Authors; For Contributors; Journal Submission; Submission Guideline;

Step 2: Going Back to Your Work
Just FOLLOW the submission guideline. Modify your paper for the publication. Format (APA, MLA, Chicago…) Word Counts (or Page Numbers) Audience Structure (Abstract, Intro, Lit Review, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, References, Appendices)

Step 3: Submitting to the Editor
Letter to the editor (Cover Letter) Self-introduction Explanation of the study What was the purpose? What was the goal? Significance of the study Why important? What contribution do you make to the Journal? Sample Letter

Peer-(or blind) Review Process: 4-6 months
1st review The editor checks the format and content. She sends out to the two reviewers. 2nd review Two reviewers employ blind reviewing: Content Final Note Reviewers send the outcome to the editor. The editor sends you their decisions. Outcome Acceptance/ Acceptance with revision/ Rejection

The editor sends you some useful comments from two reviewers. To understand what you need to do. To revise (or rewrite? re-focus?) your paper based on their comments. To prepare for the next publication (different journals)
