PIES Emotional development Development of feelings, such as excitement, love, pride, jealousy. Physical development Development of the body, balance and control of movements. Human Development Social development Personal care, play, learning to interact in groups and sharing, personal relationships (learning to get on with other people). Intellectual development Development of thinking, reasoning, knowing and understanding.

Treasure Box Four items important to me as a child were: Friends, school, Family and board games. friends = social development School = intellectual development Board games = language development Family = emotional development

Treasure box task You have been set a project to make your very own treasure box. Your design must contain at least 6 items (IF YOU DON’T HAVE THE ITEM YOU CAN INCLUDE A PICTURE OF IT) that are important to a child. You then must say how each of these items link to their PIELS development. Remember include items that are important to the development of a 1-11yr old and be creative, design your box (you can use an old shoe box and cover it in wrapping paper or draw on it!).

Task 2 As part of the course requirement you must complete 120 hours work placement. Make a list of 5 primary schools that you can complete your work placement at. For each school write the address and contact number and .

Task 3 As part of the course requirement you must complete a DBS. To complete this DBS check you need: Current and Valid Passport Current driving licence – photo card with counterpart (Full or Provisional) Birth certificate – Issued at time of birth Bank statement Adoption certificate You need at least 3 documents. Collect as many of these as you can
