After Nixon was forced to resign, Ford attempted to heal the wounds caused by the Watergate Scandal.
Continued many of Nixon’s domestic policies.

Draft Amnesty - Ford Allows Draft evaders to come home
Narrowly defeated by Jimmy Carter in the election of 1976, Fords controversial presidential pardon of Nixon for Watergate crimes contributed to his election defeat.

Ford continued Nixon’s policy of Détente, continued arms talks with the Soviets.
Ford continued support of Israel in the Middle East (Israeli victory of 6 day war in 1967 and the Yom Kippur war of 1973 greatly increase Israel's territory)
