1. Cyclin D2 in the basal process of neural progenitors is linked to non‐equivalent cell fates
Cyclin D2 protein is expressed in the developing human cortex. (A–E”) At 16 GW, Cyclin D2 is expressed at three principal locations: the basal aspects of the CP near the MZ (box C); the subplate (box D), and the apical aspects of the VZ (box E). At higher magnification, Cyclin D2 in the basal aspects and the subplate are present in a punctate fashion along the cellular processes and not in the cell nuclei stained with DAPI (C, D). In the VZ, Cyclin D2 staining colocalizes with nuclei of neural progenitor cells (E).
