EMPLOYMENT LAW (FEM4225) INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE

SYNOPSIS This course covers the laws on employment, trade unions and industrial relations, contractual relationship between employers and employees and collective relationship between employers and trade unions. Issues on contract of employment, terms and conditions of service, employees misconduct, dismissal, remedies and industrial dispute and resolution are also discussed.

CREDIT : 3 + 0 (28 hours lecturers + 14 hours SCL)
TOTAL STUDENT LEARNING TIME: 120 HOURS

LEARNING OUTCOME 1 Explain the importance of legal protection to employees(C2, CS) 2 Describe the relationship between employers and emplyees and collective relationship between employers and trade unions(C4, P2, LL) 3 Evaluate the application and the enforcement of the laws relating to employment(C6, A4, CTPS).
