1. IF Function A spreadsheet can perform many calculations.
There are lots of built in functions the can be used by typing their name after the = sign
The IF function can put one of two values in a cell depending on the outcome of a comparison test.
More complicated conditions can be tested by nesting if function tests

The marks have been recorded in a spreadsheet and he wants to have the words Pass or Fail against each student’s name
The pass mark is 75%

4. Using the Function builder
The easiest way to insert a function is to go to the formula tab:
Choose the function you want from the list
Use the formula builder to setup the parameters correctly
Replicate for all the cells where the same formula is required
