1. Informal Language of the 1920's
Throughout the 20th century, there has been burst of social growth and decay; but there's no cultural fascination like the "Roaring Twenties"- and the funny, new words and phrases that came with it.

2. Young adults enjoy drinks at a speakeasy- a hidden place that provided alcoholic beverages during the time of Prohibition.

3. A man possessing more masculine features (such as a beard or a "brawny" body type) could be referred to as a bimbo.

4. Conversations rarely happened without colloqui- alisms, or informal language, like these.

5. Finger: To identify
This could have something to with the phrase "I can't put my finger on it", which also involves having to remember or figure something out.

6. Packing Heat was used to describe act of carrying a gat- or a gun, as it's more commonly known.

7. A car was often referred to as a bucket- another example of an informal word this is still used today. (ex. a "rust bucket" is a rusty car.)

8. Easily one of the more common 1920's slang words still used today- being the bee's knees simply means to be the best.

9.  Rationale
Similar to the 1920's, the pictures showed a sense of new traits of an old thing; like how teenagers started doing more mature and reformed actions that were new to the world; or more so for adults. And with that rebellious feeling came words like a secret language. 

10.  From the Carlton to having a drink, the Roaring Twenties developed a new sense of freedom from society's rules and authorities whilst still having their own "special" language amoung their older fellow citizens. The economic prosperity reflected the prosperity many teenagers felt also- good times without worrying about the consequences or what could go wrong.
