Why do we have a dress code?
ABS staff and administration want you to make good choices. We are not trying to inhibit your style. Prom should be fun, but we want everyone to be comfortable and safe. With modesty in mind, the following dress code guidelines will be enforced at the ABS Prom.
3
ABS Prom Dress Code Unacceptable prom attire-no bare midriffs or backs, no plunging neck lines, skirts must be finger tip length or longer, and dress slits cannot be higher than fingertips. Males may not wear gym shoes, sweatshirts, or jeans.
4
Male Dress Code Males may not wear gym shoes, sweatshirts, or jeans.
5
Necklines Halter necklines are acceptable.
Plunge necklines should not be below mid-bust.
6
Back Dresses may be backless as long as they are not cut below the naval.
7
Midriffs Midriffs will not be exposed.
8
Length Dresses may not be shorter than, nor have a slit that exceeds mid thigh as determined by the standard fingertip rule.
9
ABS Gym Uniform While we will be reasonable in our interpretation of these guidelines, we want you to know that if you are dressed inappropriately your parent may be contacted, you may not be allowed into the prom or asked to wear an ABS Gym Uniform. Questions about a specific dress? Please see one of the following people: Mrs. Heenan or Mr. Cruz
