2. Importance of timing in you job search.
Timing is everything!.....but not always.
This week we are talking about when the ideal times to apply to jobs are—not the ONLY time to apply to jobs.
There is always good, and then better ways of doing most tings in life.
If you have a job you need to apply for before you leave town on vacation and it is a Saturday—of course apply!
The following tips are only how to BETTER the effectiveness of your job search.

3. The best time of year to apply
The typical annual hiring calendar:
December, January, February:
This is typical the slowest time of year for employers due to unknown budget and lack of time due to holidays.
March, April, May:
This is a very good time of year as companies now have access to hiring budgets and are moving forward with hiring initiatives set earlier in the year.
June, July , August
Summer slows down due to vacations and also hiring completed earlier in the year.
September, October, November
Sept and Oct are another good time to be looking for jobs as vacations are over and hiring managers need to finalize their hiring for the year.

4. Best Time of Day to Apply
When do recruiters tend to post jobs?
I believe companies post jobs based on deadlines.
With that in mind, data shows that many jobs are posted just before lunch and at the end of the day.
If you want to be the first to get your app on the desk of a hiring manager, try those times.

5. Best Time of Week to Apply
Tuesdays seem to be the day where most employers post jobs.
Fridays come in second place (See my comment on previous page regarding deadlines )

6. Best Time of Month to Apply
I have not found data to support a specific time of month to look for jobs.
However, the end of the month (deadlines) might be a good time to keep a closer eye out for fresh postings.
