2. Target Audience:
Who is my target audience and why is the object/material that I have chosen appropriate for them?
For my production, I intend my target audience to be people who are 12 years or older. I have decided to use ‘LEGO’ as my ‘Animation object/material’ as it is a well known type of toy that is looked on fondly by most people since it reminds them of their childhood. Additionally, using ‘LEGO’ in ‘Stop-Motion Animations’ can makes the final product much more comical than any other type of object, thus this makes it suitable for my chosen target audience.
Why is the scene that I will produce suitable for my chosen target audience?
The scene that I am going to create, for the production, is going to be a re-creation of the ‘Rotating Corridor Fight Scene’ from the thriller ‘Inception’ (2010). Therefore, this is why I have chosen my target audience to be what it is as – even though I am using the family friendly ‘LEGO’ as my ‘Animating Material/Object’ – an action scene like this may not be appropriate for children of all ages, especially those who aren’t even old enough to have seen the original film.
