Synergistic effect of CNP and doxorubicin (DOX) on thiol oxidation. Sulfenic acid formation in A375 cells was analyzed by Western blot analysis. Cells were treated with 0.5 μmol/L doxorubicin for 2 hours or with 150 μmol/L CNP for 2, 4, or 24 h, as well as in combination. H2O2 was used as positive control. For the last 2 hours of incubation dimedone (10 mmol/L) was added to the cells. GAPDH was used as loading control. The figure represents 1 of 3 independent experiments that were analyzed by densitometry with ImageJ. The x-fold increase versus untreated controls is presented.
