What was he like? Claudius was tall, well-built and handsome, but he stumbled as he walked because his knees got weak. When he got excited, he had an uncontrollable laugh. When he was angry, he slobbered and his nose ran. He stammered and he had a nervous twitch. He was, however, very intelligent: he just had an image problem. He was keen to prove himself as good as Caesar.

Version 1 In AD 43 Emperor Claudius ordered an invasion, firstly to impress his subjects (which means his people), but also to take some of the wealth which Britain possessed, especially in corn and valuable metals, such as iron.
