The “Copenhagen process”: priority to quality assurance in VET and the training of teachers and trainers giving attention to the learning needs of teachers and trainers within all forms of vocational education and training promoting cooperation in quality assurance with particular focus on exchange of models and methods, as well as common criteria and principles for quality in vocational education and training

TTnet’s activities in the field of quality
a thematic workshop on the new skills required by VET teachers and trainers as part of quality approaches; results available at: an exploratory study on the role of teachers and trainers in quality approaches in the EU – analysis of examples of good practice

“Copenhagen” and Group A
The “Copenhagen” priority of identifying the learning needs of teachers and trainers in a quality assurance framework will be addressed by the Expert Group on “Improving the Education of teachers and trainers” (Group A)

The Commission’s request to TTnet
The Commission has asked TTnet to focus its activities in the field of quality on the following aspects: a) the definition of common core criteria and methods for identifying the learning needs of VET teachers and trainers b) the identification of common quality criteria for the qualification of teachers and trainers in different learning environments, with particular reference to tutors in apprenticeship systems
