3 How to Handle Media Inquiries
When news media organizations, including the Spinnaker, contact you for an interview, please do not respond directly to their request. Please forward the request with their name, news agency and contact information, preferably , to Joanna Norris, director of Public Relations. She coordinates interviews between faculty and media organizations and must vet the story in order to make sure the best person to conduct the interview is contacted and interviewed. 4 How to Pitch Story to Media
If you have research or other projects that would be interesting or relevant to the Jacksonville community or beyond, contact Joanna Norris. Joanna will work with you to determine if we should write a news release and/or pitch the story to the press. She will also coordinate and help you prepare for any subsequent interviews with the media organization. Joanna Norris, Director of Public Relations ext. 2102
