Background M4 East is expected to open in the coming weeks
M4 East will result in network changes The Network Integration team will monitor and review network changes after opening The team is tasked with reporting on changes and potential mitigation measures up to 5 years after opening.

Summary of Pre-Opening Review
Review of key intersections around M4 East interchanges. Some issues have been identified by the community & the RMS review and are being considered further Intersections reviewed include: Parramatta Road/Bland Street. Pedestrian fencing being installed and existing pedestrian ramps being maintained Parramatta Road/Dalhousie Street Largely unchanged Parramatta Road/Wattle Street/Frederick Street Largely unchanged pedestrian facilities Wattle Street/Ramsay Street Pedestrian crossing on western leg has signal post obstruction City West Link/Waratah Street Recently upgraded as part of G Loop works Other issues examined include: Martin Street – Consideration for a footpath adjacent to canal Waratah Street – Waiting area not ideal adjacent to signalised intersection

Focus areas around Haberfield for post opening review include: City West Link/Waratah Street City West Link/Timbrell Drive/Mortley Ave City West Link/James Street City West Link/Norton Street Parramatta Road/Bland Street Parramatta Road/Dalhousie Street Parramatta Road/Sloane Street Opportunities for improvements and changes to be examined Community engagement will continue throughout the process
