Egg Drop Lab Report Problem: How do we keep a raw egg from breaking when dropped from the roof of Dolan? Hypothesis: If (factor that affects the breaking) will break the egg then (factor that will protect it) will keep the egg from breaking, because….. Variables: independent, dependent, constant, control List of materials: Procedure: (steps need to be numbered)

Data You need to record:
Your device’s length, width, height, mass (pre-egg) in cm and g. Mass of egg (in g) 58 grams Final mass of device with egg (in g) The height of the building (in meters) 39 feet-convert to meters!! The time it takes to drop (seconds) Your device’s speed (m/sec) If your device broke or not **#1 needs to be done today. #2-4 needs to be done next Wed. #5-7 the day of the drop.**
3
Data Table (s) You need to create a data table to show the relationship between force, mass and acceleration. Remember…. F = M X A!!!!!! We will use SPEED for ACCELERATION.

Reflection/Conclusion
This is the area of the lab report, where you will answer the original question using your data. “How can we keep an egg from breaking when dropped from the roof?” This section should include: If your egg broke or not What you would do differently Did you use your original sketch idea? If not, what did you change and why? Why your egg survived or did not survive An answer to the question **Lab Reports are due no later than Thursday, June 13. This will also be the day of our final science exam.***
