Five parameters are scored in the DIPSS [7]. Three additional factors are added in the DIPSS plus [6]. The final score in the DIPSS plus is composed of the value assigned to the DIPSS risk categories (0, 1, 2, or 3) plus the points added from the 3 DIPSS plus factors. Adverse karyotypes include +8,-5/del5q,-7/del7q,i(17q), inv(3),11q23 rearrangements.
