2. introduction
My interviewee is Kanshana Piers, my dads friend, moved from Canada to Sri Lanka, a journey that is 18,000 km. Right now he is married and works in Colombo as a lawyer. He has no brothers or sisters and my dad met him in He is 38 years old. He left Canada in 1983 September 1st, he was 8 years old when he left Canada.

3. Before the move
His parents were born in Sri Lanka. They wanted to explore the world so they moved to Canada. My dad’s friend was born in Canada in 1974.He is still Sri Lankan though. He has been to Sri Lanka when he was 3 years old for vacation.

4. moving
He moved in 1983 Sept. 1st. It was his parents decision to move back to Sri Lanka. He had to be caring for his family while he was moving. His 8th birthday was on the plane.

6. Risks, challenges and oportunities
Once he got to Sri Lanka there were many risks, challenges and opportunities like he didn’t know a word of Singhala, he had to get used to the spicy food, the mosquitoes. Two hard challenges was that his family didn’t know that much English and there was the civil war that had just started in There was no direct risk though, he also missed a lot of friends in Canada.

7. conclusion
Now he wants to stay in Sri Lanka and can’t imagine living anywhere else.
