£165K - Stock Investment team and partner contractor Gilmartins Delivered a new supported housing project for young people facing homelessness 10 bedspaces and communal areas, staff office High specification, young and modern scheme Fire safety, colours, modern furniture Support to residents on site

Creating homes to reduce homelessness
Shared housing model Origin provide supported housing management, repairs and Handyperson services NH fund Support Workers to support residents to sustain their tenancies, emotional support, help with benefit claims Origin fund an Employment & Training Coordinator to support residents back into work, voluntary work, training NH fund health care and fitness, counselling, life skills training and self-development

Physical health (Medication, aids/adaptations, external services, mobility, disability, care package) Mental wellbeing (Diagnosed illness, medication, external services involved, symptoms) Substance misuse (Alcohol, drugs, gambling, non prescribed medication) Finance (Income, benefits, debts, arrears, savings) Social inclusion (Family, relationships, social network, aspirations for college/job)

Living skills (Support needed for cooking, laundry, reading/writing, use of phone, making appointments, completing forms ) Housing (move on, transfers, home swap, bidding, points, repairs, aids and adaptations, health and safety (fire, hoarding) Tenancy (ASB, harassment and neighbour disputes), understanding rights and responsibilities in tenancy agreement) The law (Involved in any ongoing legal procedures (Gangs, racism, sexism, custody, immigration, offending history & victim support) Adult Protection and Child Protection (financial, physical, emotional, verbal, sexual, neglect, domestic violence)

1-year on… Prevention of homelessness at P99
Since the project began, all 13 original residents have been through the programme and moved on to new homes. Three of the new young people starting apprenticeships, two going into fulltime jobs and three securing a place in college.
