3. Programme Structure At least 6 credit units for Associate Degree:
English Courses
At least 6 credit units for Associate Degree:
3 credit units of English for Academic Studies (i.e. CGE1000 or CGE1500, depending on students’ English level upon entry)
3 credit units of English for Working Purposes (i.e. CGE2000 or CGE2001 or CGE2002 or CGE2003, depending students’ discipline)

4. Programme Structure I) A course on Chinese Culture: 3 credit units
Students are required to take 3 credit units of CGE26504 Contemporary China: Challenges and Strategies or CGE26503 Chinese Culture and Contemporary Life depending on their home division, or CGE26505 Understanding Contemporary China upon special approval by Programme Leader

5. Programme Structure
II) Core General Education Component: 12 credit units
Students are also required to take 12 credit units of core GE courses, with a minimum of 3 credit units from each of the following three domains :
- Arts and Humanities
- Society and Organisations
- Science and Technology
The fourth course can be from any of the three domains or “CGE2100 Advanced English Reading & Writing Skills”. Out of the 12 credit units taken, 3 credit units must be fulfilled by taking a course at level A2.
