3 Israel was repeatedly described as
“a stiff-necked people” “stubborn” “rebellious” “a crooked people” “a perverse generation” “unfaithful” (Deuteronomy 9:6-7, 13, 24; 31:27; 32:5, 20)

4 Tell the Next Generation
First generation: “our fathers have told us” (Vv. 3, 5). Second generation: “we will tell next generation (V.4). Third generation: “and they in turn would tell their children yet unborn” (v. 4).

6 “The heaviest obligation lying upon the Christian Church today is to purify and elevate its concept of God until it is once more worthy of Him In all its prayers and labors, this should have first place. We do the greatest service to the next generation of Christians by passing on to them undimmed and undiminished that noble concept of God that we received from our Hebrew and Christian fathers of generations past.
