1. Fatality Designated Person (FDP) Process
Being trialled at Romford as a way to speed up reopening unaffected lines following a fatality
All Romford station staff trained as FDPs
FDP checks whether person was hit within pre-defined zones (marked on platforms)
If person hit in certain zones, some lines / platforms can reopen
Romford – Person Hit on Down Main (Platform 3)
London End
Country End
If the person was hit in the white zone > can run up electric (platform 4) and down electric (platform 5).
