7 Formal and Informal Writing
When we send an , we need to know who we are writing to. What is informal writing? What is formal writing? TASK: Look at examples of formal / informal s (compare the examples!) 8 Formal Email Rules Use a meaningful subject line The structure is :
Salutation (eg: Dear ....) Main text of the Sign off (eg: Kind regards ...) Keep the message focused! Why are you writing? Can the recipient contact you? Do you need a reply?
