AN ACROSTIC - THE BIBLE INTRODUCTION
“Bible” is from Greek word translated “book” in Heb. 10 :7. Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. Need to study duties toward the Bible.

II. BUY A BIBLE. Prov. 23:23. ‘ ‘ Buy the truth and sell it not. ’ ’ Do not compromise the truth. Many books — many should be burned. Acts 19:19. All need a Bible for it alone tells plan of salvation. Each one in family needs a Bible to study. Better to buy Bibles than to pay fines! Get good print, concordance, maps, helps.

III. INVESTIGATE THE BIBLE.
2 Tim. 2:15; 1 Tim. 4:13; 2 Pet. 3:18. Ignorance alienates from God. Eph. 4:18; 1 Cor. 2:8. Knowledge keeps from sin. Psa. 119:11. Influences to salvation.

IV. BELIEVE THE BIBLE. Cannot believe God and refuse His word. Jo. 3:4, 5; Acts 27:25. Must believe the Bible to be the word of God. 1 Thes. 2:13. Believe Gospel. Rom. 1:16. Evidence of inspiration.

V. LOVE THE BIBLE. Many do not. 2 Thess. 2:10; Matt. 13:15.
Cannot love God and hate His word. 1 Jo. 5:3. Will not be ashamed of it. Mk. 8:38; Gal. 1:7-9; 2 Cor. 4:1-4.

V. EXEMPLIFY THE BIBLE. Show it in life. 1 Tim. 4:12.
