Did you know that good nutrition is important for healthy growth and development of young children? Here are some tips for good nutrition. type title here type title here Your child should be eating from each of the following food groups daily: Grains - at least 6 servings each day Fruits and Vegetables - at least 5 servings each day Milk - at least 3 servings each day Meat - 2 servings each day Here are some examples of fruit and vegetable recommended servings for preschoolers. Recommended: at least 5 servings of fruits and veggies each day ½ cup cooked or chopped raw ½ - 1 small fruit or vegetable ½ cup juice type title here type title here If you have a picky eater, try offering new foods one at a time. Remember that children may need to try a new food 10 or more times before they may even begin to “like” it! Try offering new foods at the start of meals when your child is more hungry.
