A croft is a beautiful place to live.

The farmer uses his truck to cultivate the land. My father enjoys cultivating his garden.

peat: A soil like material, used in gardening and as fuel.
Piling up the peat is very hard work. This peat looks in excellent condition to use in our garden.

splendid: Something magnificent; very impressive.
The sight of that house built on top of the rock is absolutely splendid. That is going to be an splendid picture.

thud: A dull, heavy sound, such as that made by an object falling to the ground. Synonyms: thump, clonk, crash, bang, smash. A hear the thud when the stick hit the piñata. In comic books, thud is my favorite kind of sound.

There was once a young girl that lived in a small cottage.

Synonyms: quickly, fast. He moved hastily because he didn’t want to be late for work. Agnes and her horse must go through the competition hastily if they really want to win.

limpet: A marine animal with a shell that usually adheres to rocks.
I found a limpet on the shore, and the small animal was still inside it!
