Remains in sky most of night

Difference is that we see less and less each night=waning

12. Lunar Eclipse
Moon receives its light from the sun but when it goes into Earth shadow….
no light can reach the moon
However, the air around earth “bends” the sunlight causing some light to get to the moon making it look dull red.
Can last for 3 to 4 hours

13. Solar Eclipse Moon moves in between sun and earth
Blocks out the sun ‘s light causing daylight to look like night time.
Very short period of time (few minutes)
