On the Delta College campus with Delta College students for Delta College credit To participate, learners must be “credentialed”: Learners take up to 10 college classes from their freshman to senior years Tuition and fees paid by district on eligible courses College Options. To demonstrate readiness a learner must: Have an Educational Development Plan (EDP) on file in Career Cruising that has been updated within the semester. Have participated in Strategies for Academic Success/Career and College Readiness Seminar with a 2.0 or higher College Options. Career Options. Success for Life.

To demonstrate eligibility a learner must test into college-level coursework by earning the following scores (only need one): COMPASS Math: 41 (level 5) Reading: 81 (level 4) Writing: 60 (level 4) ACT Math: 19 Reading: 20 English: 20 College Options. Career Options. Success for Life.

College Ready Credential
To demonstrate preparedness a learner must: 2.0 GPA or higher Successfully completed all Michigan Merit Curriculum courses at grade level with grade of 2.0 or higher. Have a parent/guardian signature of maturity College Options. Career Options. Success for Life. 2.0 GPA requirement in MHS courses waived for learners who earn state qualifying scores for dual enrollment courses

Aware Eligible Prepared
Aware Eligible Prepared Description of Credential Learners who are “aware” have knowledge of themselves, available postsecondary opportunities, and the information necessary to understand how college operates as a system and a culture. Learners who are “eligible” are able to earn college-level placement scores on the ACT or COMPASS assessment. Learners who are “prepared” possess the skills and maturity of a college student. This includes soft skills (attendance, time management, study skills), as well as patterns of intellectual behavior and use of cognitive strategies. Criteria Necessary to Earn Credential To demonstrate awareness a learner must” Have an Educational Development Plan (EDP) on file in Career Cruising that has been updated within the past semester. Complete a minimum of ½ sem Career/College Readiness Seminar course with a 2.0 or higher. To demonstrate eligibility a learner must test into college level coursework by earning the following scores (only need one): COMPASS: Math: 41 (level 5) Reading: 81 (level 4) Writing: 70 (level 4) ACT: Math: 19 Reading: 20 English: 20 To demonstrate preparedness a learner must: Have earned a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
