If you cannot present for Showcase, I need to know today. Sign in for Monday meetings Rate/Rank Forms – keep filling these in after each meet Brought to you by Coach Nieland!

3 Rounds and Finals No Novice divisions (sorry) Bring a lunch or money for lunch Home around 5:00 Everyone should be “off script” (This means your speech is fully memorized.) Continue to dress professionally

Northfield, Cont. Draw categories: you will draw from ALL stories and/or topics – you will draw for EACH round. **WIFI/Internet for Ex. Spk. & Disco.** Discussion: ALL sections from the outline will be fair game. Awards: 3:15 (approximately) – Auditorium Stay dressed up until after awards CLEAN UP! Please clean up our area in the cafeteria and auditorium when we visit schools

Big 9 Information Tuesday, March 15th
No school that day. But all Juniors are ACT testing. Testing will be completed by 12:45. Bus leaves JM at 1:15; we board at 1:00 (flagpole doors). If you are SICK/CANNOT compete you must contact NIELAND by 9 a.m. Tuesday! Eat lunch before you come. Juniors eat the box lunch provided in cafeteria or bring your lunch. Home Late: 10:00–10:30 p.m.. You MUST go to school the next day.

Add this to your calendar: On Tuesday, March 22nd, we will be writing Thank You notes to our Donor’s Choose donors. Room (Sweep’s classroom / where coach Lyke does her coaching) 3:15 until we’re done (4:00 at the latest)

Guest Coach Practices — For the SECTION TEAM ONLY — For Two Weeks: (1) Tuesday–Friday, March 22nd–25th AND (2) Monday–Thursday, March 28th–31st Each week, each speaker must attend a guest coach practice There will be an online sign up If you need a specific timeframe or want to work with a specific guest coach you’ll want to use this, otherwise you can just drop in Lyke will post on FB & Remind! when this is available—it will be on the website right above “EXTRA PRACTICE SIGN UP” You are welcome to drop in and do a second guest-coach-practice if it fits into his/her schedule You still must attend your regular practice Of course, the “Extra Practice Sign up” for practicing with Coach Ashley/Adam/Lyke is still an option, too!

Family & Friends Showcase Night
Monday, March 28th ALL attend and perform! Bring 1 dozen cookies/bars (beverages are provided) Meet in the Rocket Center @7 p.m. After a short overview of the year, you’ll break out into assigned rooms Done around 8:30 p.m. Be sure to invite your family, friends, teachers… This is the same day as our final Team Meeting Turn in Blue Point Sheets if you’re not competing at Sections Quick update on Open Practices, Sections, Showcase, etc.

Present 5 minutes of your speech. Disco people – explain what you do. Provide feedback – positive & constructive. If someone is missing from your group, go with who is here or combine groups (no more than 4 should be in a group).
