1 The most common or frequent side effects of these contraceptives are:
Contravention Contraception Contraceptives are generally used by women to temporarily or permanently prevent pregnancy. Diligent observation and documentation reveal some of the risks involved. The most acceptable alternatives are FDA approved physical implants, medications and procedures or a combination thereof, including a “modern” hormone-releasing birth control implant for use by women to prevent pregnancy for up to 3 years The implant is a flexible plastic rod about the size of a matchstick that contains a progestin hormone called etonogestrel. It also contains a small amount of barium sulfate so that the implant can be seen by x-ray, and may also contain magnesium stearate. Healthcare providers insert the implant just under the skin of the inner side of your upper arm. This contraceptive prevents pregnancy in several ways. The most important way is by stopping the release of an egg from your ovary. It also thickens the mucus in your cervix and this change may keep sperm from reaching the egg. It also changes the lining of your uterus. Consider the motivations for (contraception) contravention of the Procreation Imperative, the risks of the various means to achieve the objective as opposed to the benefits of the initiative. The most common or frequent side effects of these contraceptives are: Changes in menstrual bleeding patterns; mood swings; weight gain; headache; acne; depressed mood; Vaginitis; breast pain, breast cancer. Viral infections such as sore throat or flu-like symptoms; stomach pain; painful periods; back pain; nausea; dizziness. Problems with insertion and removal, broken, bent or otherwise compromised implants; pain at the site of insertion. Migration of the implant to blood vessels (for instance, even a blood vessel in the lung). Serious blood clots – for example, blood clots in the legs (deep vein thrombosis); lungs (pulmonary embolism); brain (stroke); heart (heart attack); eyes (gradual or sudden total or partial blindness). Ectopic (outside the womb) pregnancy; ovarian cysts; Consider the motivations for contravention of (contraception) the procreation imperative, the risks of the various means to achieve the objective as opposed to the benefits of the initiative. The benefits? Probably occasional access to pleasure that is unique to the procreation imperative without regard to the individual responsibility or for the social consequences. mbmedi

2 …that is five times the number of married women with children.
RiskBen Other risks and symptoms associated with these methods of contraception include: High blood pressure; gallbladder problems; rare cancerous or non-cancerous liver tumors. Pain in the lower legs that does not go away; severe chest pain or heaviness in the chest. Sudden shortness of breath, sharp chest pain, or coughing blood; symptoms of a severe allergic reaction, such as swollen face, tongue or throat, trouble breathing or swallowing. Sudden severe headaches unlike usual headaches; weakness or numbness in your arm, leg, or trouble speaking. Yellowing of your skin or whites of your eyes, especially with fever, tiredness, loss of appetite, dark colored urine, or light colored bowel movements; severe pain, swelling, or tenderness in the lower stomach (abdomen). Lump in your breast. Problems sleeping, lack of energy, tiredness, or feeling very sad. THE BENEFITS? Probably occasional access to pleasure that is unique to the procreation imperative without regard to the individual responsibility or for the social consequences. Arguably, some derivative social consequences of contraception may be: *Over half of the babies born (in the United States) today are born of unmarried mothers; the implications for families and children that are becoming increasingly evident in mainstream society. More than half of unmarried young mothers with children under the age of 6 live below the poverty line …that is five times the number of married women with children. The number of unmarried new moms is increasing most rapidly among non-college educated women who are also most impacted by economic downturns, stagnant wages in low-wage industries, lack of access to health care including reproductive health services, as well as antiquated workplace standards that leave most working women without affordable child care, earned sick days or paid family leave. * Principal source; Jolonda Ware, member Working America NC editorial forum The Durham News 5/15/16 mbmedi
