The Wisdom of Others Helpful tips that other parents wanted to share:
Don’t stress! Lunch doesn’t have to be exciting. I find allowing my sons to choose the food in the grocery store very helpful in getting them to try new foods. Involve the child, the one who is eating the food! Let them have a say, so you know they will enjoy it. Giving kids a general rule of veg, protein and grain + fruit makes building a lunch a fun “mix and match” game. Make if a plan-ahead weekend activity instead of during busy morning rush. They can pour the dip. Be in charge of the ice packs! It’s a big job but somebody’s got to do it! They will love every bit of it! Including eating it. Keep the lunches simple and fresh.

The Wisdom of Others Helpful tips that other parents wanted to share: I find creative lunches made from leftover meals the night before are better received than sandwiches. We have a reward system that if the kids do not eat their vegetables they are unable to use any devices after school until they are consumed. If they do eat their vegetables at school they will get a treat in their lunch the next day. Pinterest boards Fun containers Prep in batches Pre-pack snacks and small individual items. Wash the entire stock of fruit and vegetables at once and package to go for the week. Set menu staple items and rotate them based on what the lunch item is to balance the child’s dietary intake for the day.

The Wisdom of Others Helpful tips that other parents wanted to share:
Baking some foods always helps to make my child eat healthier. Helpful tips that other parents wanted to share: Prepare the same food in a different way helps the kids to be willing to try it again after they have showed signs of dislike towards the food. Eco friendly - make them fun When they don't eat their lunch, I like to know why. Was it a time factor? Didn't like it? Did you eat something else at school? If there isn't a good reason, they either finish it, or no after-school snack. We LOVE our Goodbyns! One piece, easy for kids to open, close, and they can decorate it. Doesn’t age. Great investment! I bought a Planet Box with smaller compartments for more variety daily
