2 A New Text Editor has been added to the Online IEP

3 The New Text Editor Offers the Following Advantages
The Online IEP is now compatible with updated versions of Internet Explorer If Internet Explorer users added k12.wv.us to the Compatibility View Settings, it must be removed. See next slide for instructions on how to remove k12.wv.us . Spell Check is now available for Present Levels, Impact Statements, and Goals Tab feature now works for moving between the five goal components Less conflicts with html code when pasting copied text

4 Compatibility View Settings for k12. wv
Compatibility View Settings for k12.wv.us must be removed in order for the text-editor to work with Internet Explorer Open Internet Explorer. Click on Tools and choose Compatibility View settings If k12.wv.us is in the larger box, click on it and then click Remove If k12.wv.us is not in the big box, then all is well

5 “Next IEP Date” and ReEval will be highlighted in red in the
Authorized List when the current date falls within 30 days of the annual review or ReEval date.

6 Note: All columns can be sorted with the exception of Age and Pending.
Student List can now be printed based on the results of the column sort. In this example, clicking on the column heading “Next IEP Date” reordered the names based on the next annual review date. Note: All columns can be sorted with the exception of Age and Pending.

7 Part III. Extended School Year Determination
Users can click on new button on ESY page to view progress reports for all of the critical skills from the last finalized IEP

8 Mastery and Progress Evaluation Codes Have Been Combined to Make One List of Progress Codes
Progress for ALL goals and short-term objectives are evaluated using the list of codes shown above. Evaluation of critical skills is part of the local education agency’s decision-making process for determining regression/recoupment and whether the student with a disability needs Extended School Year services.

9 Descriptions of Progress Evaluation Codes
Insufficient Progress - Student has demonstrated minimal progress towards meeting the evaluation criteria for this annual goal or short-term objective. Progress Sufficient -Student has not fully met the evaluation criteria for this annual goal or short-term objective but has demonstrated adequate progress. Achieved - Student has met the evaluation criteria for this annual goal or short-term objective. Maintained - Student has previously met the evaluation criteria for this annual goal or short-term objective and continues to demonstrate proficiency. Regressed - During an interruption in educational programming, the student’s progress toward meeting the evaluation criteria for this annual goal or short-term objective regressed and the student has demonstrated a limited ability to recoup or relearn the skill once programming resumed. Recouped - During an interruption in educational programming, the student’s progress toward meeting the evaluation criteria for this annual goal or short-term objective had regressed, however, the student demonstrated the ability to relearn the skill once programming resumed. NA –Goal/Objective was not addressed during this reporting period

11 Only the areas which have goals and/or objectives will be displayed in the header on the Progress Evaluation page

12 Users can choose to evaluate ALL goals/objectives on the same screen – OR – they can click on the link to move to a specific area that they want to evaluate
