Non-fiction Essays Types: Narrative Essay- tells a story that is true or based on facts. Descriptive Essay- essay that describes based on facts. Use imagery (five senses: smell, touch, taste, hear, see) Use adjectives: a. Smell- fresh, flowery, stale, b. Touch- soft, creamy, rough, sharp, cold, hot, fuzzy c. Taste- sweet, tart, sour, bitter, greasy, fruity d. Hear- shrill, loud, booming, soft, soothing, e. See- red, tall, short, green, sharp, shiny, dull, bright, Expository Essay- Explains using facts. reports, biography, autobiography, how to essays, etc. Argumentative Essay- Expressing your point of view. Arguing an issue. Base on facts. Always save your best reason for your opinion for last.
