This year Christleton High School students achieved 74% 5 GCSE (9-4) incl Eng and Maths This reflects the hard work of our Students, parents and teachers.

Changing Landscape GCSEs are becoming increasingly difficult.
It has never been more important to not just get off to a flying start!

Key Changes All GCSE assessments are now linear.
New specifications in all subjects. All GCSE subjects will be graded on a scale of 1-9. (9 is highest grade)

Controlled Assessments
There may still be coursework in a small number of courses where the subject has a practical element that needs to be assessed eg Art, Computing, PE etc.

Ebacc and Progress 8? These are measures that the Government is now using to compare schools Ebacc –English, Maths, 2x science, language and either Geography or History Progress 8 – measure of how well students perform across 8 subjects compared to students with similar KS2 scores.
