1 When you bite into a hamburger, do you know what you’re eating
When you bite into a hamburger, do you know what you’re eating? How about where it’s been and what the animal went through?

2 That’s what you’re going to discover. I will inform you of…
What a cow goes through before slaughter How it affects your beef

3 So what happens to a cow before it is slaughtered
So what happens to a cow before it is slaughtered? It’s something like this…

4 You are a cow ready for slaughter
You are a cow ready for slaughter. When the time comes, you are taken to a large yard filled with thousands of other steer called a feedlot. It looks something like this…

5

6 You are in this lot for months, eating, sleeping and doing everything…else with all the others. All of your waste drains to one huge pool called a lagoon. Some of these can be miles across.

7 And when this time is over, you are carted up to the slaughterhouse in a truck. A conveyer belt rolls you into the first horrible room.

8 At this time, you know what will happen to you and are terrified
At this time, you know what will happen to you and are terrified. You can smell, hear and see the deaths of your comrades before you.

9 In this room, a human comes to you with a long rod
In this room, a human comes to you with a long rod. It twitches and you are startled by a pain in your head and fall to the floor, still conscious.

10

11 Then you roll into a room filled with death and despair
Then you roll into a room filled with death and despair. You are now in the midst of your friends, about to become another’s food.

12 For five agonizing minutes, you are torn apart limb from limb, but still alive. Your legs are cut. Then you are hung and your tail, belly and hide are pulled.

13

14

15

16 And then you die, in hurting and hatred you die.

17 Yes this really happens. In fact…
In a recent inspection, 1 of 8 hanging cows were found to be alive and feeling This kind of cruelty is illegal, but is reinforced weakly in the U.S.

18 So how does this affect your beef?
The fear of the cow produces enzymes that taint meat and burn “sweet” calories There are more unknown ingredients in your burger. To name three

19 Meat from thousands of different cows
Meat from thousands of different cows. After the meat is separated from the cadaver, it all goes into a big grinder, making it impossible to trace diseases.

20 2. The E-coli bacteria. In many beef patties, the e-coli bacteria thrives. When it is cooked this bacteria is usually killed but in many undercooked burgers, it thrives.

21 3. Feces from cows. With that feedlot, lagoon and all the cows, it isn’t hard to imagine how germs from feces get into beef.

22 So your hamburger shouldn’t say McDonald’s on it, it should say…

23

24 So before you bite into that burger or slice up that steak, be sure to take a moment to think of where it came from, what dangers it might hold and what the cow had to go through for it. Then maybe you’ll make the right choice.
