2 Pictures Part 1 Open a PowerPoint and click to add a new slide
Select and delete the two textboxes Under the ‘Design’ tab, click Slide size and select ‘Custom Slide Size…’ From the ‘Slides sized for:’ dropdown, choose ‘Letter Paper (8.5x11 in)’ Under ‘Orientation,’ in the ‘Slides’ section, select ‘Portrait.’ Click ‘Ok’ and select ‘Ensure Fit’ 5) 6)

Download the 2 picture examples in the ‘Tutorials’ tab From the ‘Insert’ tab, click the ‘Pictures’ button. Insert the “Walking.jpg” file Resize and reposition the picture to align with the text above 5) 5)

Double click the ‘Walking’ picture, select Picture Border Color: CMU Maroon Weight: 3 pt. Resize and reposition the picture to align with the ‘Walking’ picture above Under the ‘Home’ tab, select the ‘Walking’ Photo above, select the ‘Format Painter’ tool, and click the boat picture. 3) Under the Boat picture add a textbox Type “Walking” in the textbox Font Style: Arial Black Font Size: 24pt Font Color: CMU Maroon

Under the ‘Animation’ tab, select the ‘Wipe’ animation Click the ‘Effect Options’ button and choose ‘From Left’ Click the ‘Animation Pane’ button Select the boating picture and choose ‘On Click’ from the ‘Start:’ dropdown Select the “Walking” & Boating textboxes and choose ‘After Previous’ from the ‘Start:’ 4) 5 & 6) 2) 3)

Under the ‘Transitions’ tab choose the ‘Push’ transition Click the ‘Effect Options’ button and choose ‘From Right’ Part 8 Download Example Video from Blackboard Under the ‘Insert’ tab, select ‘Video’ and click ‘Video on My PC…’ Choose the “Bicycle.mp4” file 2) 3) 1)

Select the bicycle video, and under the ‘Format’ tab choose the ‘Crop’ tool Reposition and Crop the ‘Video’ to align with the text above. Do not shrink the video. Crop the video from the left side only. 2) 2)

11 Pictures Part 9 On Slide 1, select either the walking or boating picture, and click the ‘Format Painter’ button Return to Slide 2 and click the bicycle video to apply the formatting On Slide 1, select the ‘Walking’ textbox On the keyboard, hold the ‘Ctrl’ key and press the letter ‘C’ to copy the textbox Return to Slide 2, hold the ‘Ctrl’ key and press the letter ‘V’ to paste the textbox Change the text from ‘Walking’ to ‘Biking’ and reposition the textbox to align with the bicycle video

12 Pictures Part 10 Select the bicycle video Under the ‘Playback’ tab
Click the ‘Volume’ button and choose ‘Mute’ From the ‘Start:’ dropdown, choose ‘Automatically’ Check the ‘Loop until Stopped’ checkbox 4) 5) 3)

Under the ‘Playback’ tab click ‘Trim Video’ Move the green slider right until the woman is out of the frame Move the red slider left until the woman is out of the frame Click ‘ok’ 3) 4)

14 Pictures Part 12 On the keyboard, press ‘F5’
Use the spacebar or arrow keys to advance the slides

15 Pictures Save Save this file as a PDF Name this file:
“FirstName LastName Video Tutorial.pdf” Upload the file to BlackBoard Under the “Tutorials” Tab
