GOVERNMENT Who has the power? How do they get or keep power? Are there limits to governmental power? Do citizens have rights?

5 Sovereignty Having power and authority over the people who reside within a defined area It means a state or a governing body has the full right and power to govern itself without any interference from outside sources or bodies.

7 Limited Government The national government does not have absolute authority. It can only do what the people have given it the power to do. The government must also obey its own laws. Officers of the government are not above the law
