WHAT ARE WE DOING? 1) A Learner Path - personal services for users to map competences throughout their life 2) Learning Analytics – to provide the user with insights out of data 3) Depicting a wider service framework of digital services for competence development LEARNER PATH - Henkilökohtaisia osaamisen kartoittamisen ja kartuttamisen mahdollisuuksia Oppijan polkuun ANALYTIIKKA - Miten ja mitä tietoa hyödynnetään ARKKITEHTUURI - Opintopolku ja rajapinnat kokonaisuus ja tavoitetila
7
DISTINCT MODULES FOR THE LEARNER PATH
The planned Learner Path ties together user needs for identifying competences, ambitions and skills, with possibilities of guidance and comparing existing education opportunities Planning larger framework for competence development Creating smaller service prototypes
8
CREATING A LEARNER CENTERED PATH
Personal Competence Profile Self-evaluation and automated identification of skills; non-formal and formal Strong identification opens access to databases and registers Tool for sharing and guidance Matching and Comparing Educational Offer (using Ploteus) Personalised suggestions on educational opportunities in the EU based on the data from the personal competence profile Guidance through Learner Map Personalised visualised map of future possibilities Personal Learner Path Combination of certified and acknowledged competencies from registries as well as user generated data (interests, skills, goals, etc.) comprised by user activities in these modules. Goal is for a unified user experience: user does not know which module is being used. User can use strong identification or no identification/registration Possibilities in interfacing to various national registers and data bases (if available) Creating Personal profile through entering data and/or gaining data from national registers and systems Competence Mapping solutions for compiling information on ambitions, interests and non-formal to a visualised ”Competence Profile” Comparison and interaction with offered educational opportunities through "compare" module Visualised ”Learner Map” based on previous data and showing future possibilities for the learner

ADDED VALUE FROM USING LEARNING ANALYTICS Learning analytics is collection, analysis, and report of data about learning. Digital traces of learning, user behavior and teachers’ activities can be collected with the help of learning analytics tools and present the feedback for users as understandable, visualized results. Based on the collected data, different optimizations, interventions, adaptations, personalizations or predictive models and assessments can be done. The purpose of learning analytics is to support decision-making of different stakeholders.
