Unemployment – especially youth
COMPLEAP & EUROPASS: SHARED INTERESTS In CompLeap we have been developing digital tools to enable people across the EU to make their skills and qualifications more visible and relevant for changing labour market needs and trends. A“Competence Profile” for storing and sharing information, and with tools for people to self-assess their skills and describe formal and informal learning and qualifications. You have very similar aims for an e-Portfolio in Europass We would like to share our work so far to hopefully save you some time Skills and competence mismatch Unemployment – especially youth ”over supply”, ”over-qualified” – academic unemployment Migrants and refugees NEET – neither in employment nor education Lifelong-learning becoming more and more important Learning happens not only in classrooms – changing context Formal qualifications – informal learning Changes in working life – need to develope your competences throughout your life – many careers
