What is VALOR… VALOR is the SoCalGas employee resource group, dedicated to supporting military service members and veterans, both internally and in the communities we serve. There are four main objectives: Recruitment focused on attracting, hiring, and retaining veterans and transitioning military service members. Onboarding to help provide a smooth transition for newly-hired SoCalGas veteran/military employees. Development focused on increasing competencies of employees who have no exposure to military culture, and Identifying key developmental needs for SoCalGas veterans. Outreach support for veteran organizations, veteran-owned businesses, and customer programs

Jeffrey Farah- E-6; Period of Service: Having joined the Navy to better himself, Jeffery Farah served on the USS Ronald Reagan as an Aviation Boatswain’s Mate and Pursued special warfare Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician. He was discharged in 2011 after sustaining several injuries. Now, a husband and father of two, Jeffery plans to get back to work and make his family’s life better. Furnishing Hope has been a part of ensuring that dream comes true. “It was the greatest blessing we could have ever received. Awards Humanitarian Service Medal Sea Service Deployment Ribbon Navy E Ribbon Good Conduct Award (2) National Defense Service Medal Global War on Terrorism Service Medal Expeditionary Medal Global War Service Medal Julian Mirza – Employee Development
