During the last Ice Age, people crossed the ancient land bridge connecting Asia to North America
This land bridge is now underwater
It is believed that the first Native American tribes followed animals across the land bridge into North America

4. Pre-Columbian Movement
Nomad – a person who travels from place to place
Many Native American tribes were nomadic and would follow herds of animals
As these tribes moved from place to place, they came in contact with other tribes and were able to share their way of life
During this time, the majority of movement was done by choice except for a few cases where a warring tribe would expel you from the area

5. Post-Columbian Movement
Contact with Europeans
This is when the movement of ideas, religion, food, and many other aspects of life was extremely high
Europeans brought with them horses, Christianity, weapons, and many more new ideas or goods
Native Americans shared with Europeans ways to survive the harsh winter, farm the land, guides for the land, and a variety of trees, plants, and crops.
