9 Trust and Obey Hymn # 571

10 When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word, What a glory He sheds on our way! While we do His good will He abides with us still And with all who will trust and obey.

11 Trust and obey, for there’s no other way To be happy in Jesus, But to trust and obey.

12 Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies, But His smile quickly drives it away; Not a doubt nor a fear, Not a sigh nor a tear, Can abide while we trust and obey.

13 Trust and obey, for there’s no other way To be happy in Jesus, But to trust and obey.

14 Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share, But our toil he doth richly repay; Not a grief nor a loss, not a frown nor a cross, But is blest if we trust and obey.

15 Trust and obey, for there’s no other way To be happy in Jesus, But to trust and obey.

16 But we never can prove the delights of His love Until all on the altar we lay; For the favor He shows and the joy He bestows Are for them who will trust and obey.

17 Trust and obey, for there’s no other way To be happy in Jesus, But to trust and obey.

18 Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His feet, Or we’ll walk by His side in the way; What He says we will do, Where He sends we will go— Never fear, only trust and obey.

19 Trust and obey, for there’s no other way To be happy in Jesus, But to trust and obey.

23 ( THE CALL TO WORSHIP (from Psalm 95)

24 Minister: Oh come, let us sing to the LORD;

25 People: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!

26 Minister: Let us come into His presence with thanksgiving;

27 People: let us make a joyful noise to Him with songs of praise!

28 Minister: For the LORD is a great God,

29 People: and a great King above all gods.

30 Prayer of Confession All

31 Almighty and most merciful Father; we have strayed from Your ways like lost sheep.

32 We have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts
We have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts. We have offended against Your holy laws.

33 We have left undone those things which we ought to have done; and we have done those things which we ought not to have done.

34 O Lord, have mercy upon us
O Lord, have mercy upon us. Spare those, O God, who confess their faults. Restore those who are penitent. .

35 And grant, O merciful Father, for His sake; that we may hereafter live a godly, righteous, and sober life; to the glory of Your holy name.

36 Lord, hear our prayers.

37 SILENT PRAYERS OF THANKSGIVING AND CONFESSION

38 Words of Assurance and Pardon of the Gospel (Romans 5:6-8)

39 Minister: For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—

40 —though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die—but God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

49 Teaching Moment “How to Pray About Your Problems” Rev. Dustin Sedlak

50 13 Is anyone among you in trouble. Let them pray. Is anyone happy
13 Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord.

51 15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. 16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

52 17 Elijah was a human being, even as we are
17 Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. 18 Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.

53 19 My brothers and sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back, 20 remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins.  Jump to Toolbar
