Foreigners come from other countries with higher qualifications
Uneducated people
Over population
Corruption (overly high salaries, “jobs for friends”)
Recessions (few jobs are created, businesses close down)
Having qualifications and a career path that don’t match your interest and ability
More demand than supply
Minimum wages

3. How does it affect people’s lives?
People become poor
More people living on the streets
Areas become dirty
Theft, people steal because they don’t have anything
People will have a lack of career experience
Children could have poor academic performances if their parents are unemployed

4. Who is most affected? Families Blacks because of past apartheid
Young adults
Women as they are seen as less superior
The economy because people can’t pay taxes
Businesses (have to cut prices in order to sell)

5. What are solutions to this problem?
Governments can form new job opportunities
Couples can stop having so many children to provide for (therefore having to get better jobs)
Community work
Informal jobs (wash cars, gardening etc.)
Part time jobs
Higher emphasis should be placed on promoting rural employment
Education system must be restricted to ensure production of graduates who are capable of self-employment
