4. Snack
We eat lunch at 11:25. Students may bring a fruit or veggie snack (no dips) to munch on. Sharing of snacks is not permitted.
No need for water bottles

8. Homework Homework will be collected first thing in the morning
Plan on helping your child with homework and check their completed homework and make them correct mistakes
Your child is responsible for organizing homework for the week on Mondays
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Reading at least 20 min. a night
Spelling assignment every night
Math - typically a front/back due by Thursday

9. i Pad Usage
i Pads are used for educational purposes. They are not considered a toy to play with.
Students may only read on i Pads on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Other days they read from real books!
Please see that iPads are charged and ready for the day

10. Report Cards New Report cards similar to 1st grade M– Meets standard
E – Excedes Standard
DV – developing the standard/needs improvement
AC – area of concern
Parent conferences are in November
Grades may fluctuate throughout the year on any given skill

11. Attendance All absences require a note for the office.
Please send the note the day your child returns to school.
Work cannot be given out in advance of “vacation” days. This is school policy.

12. Class Climate/”Class Dojo”
A classroom runs on respect, routines, boundaries and rules.
You will get an invitation to join “Class Dojo”
Class Dojo allows you to see how your child is doing with behavior and to see class photos/information

13. Please send in a Pringles Can and Paper Towel Tube for an ongoing math project
