What DoDAAC Should I Enter?
GPC Program Participants SP3 The Department of Defense Activity Address Code (DoDAAC) is a six-position code that uniquely identifies a unit, activity, or organization that has the authority to requisition, contract for, receive, have custody of, issue, or ship government-owned assets; or fund/pay bills for materials and/or services. How is a DoDAAC used in PIEE/JAM? In PIEE/JAM you will encounter the DoDAAC in three ways: Home Organization: The DoDAAC of the organization where you sit. Role Location: The DoDAAC of the primary organization for which you perform your duties. Authority Location: The DoDAAC of the organization that grants you GPC authority (i.e., signs your appointment letter). This will populate for your appointment automatically. Whether you sit at a DoDAAC with a procurement flag or not, you should enter the correct Home Organization and Role Location DoDAACs. What is a DoDAAC used for? A DoDAAC is the business standard code used to identify an activity within DoD and Federal Agency business systems that span all functional domains of procurement/acquisition, financial management and accounting, supply, property, maintenance, transportation, readiness, human resources, etc. Generally the CH, A/BO, Certifying Officer, and A/OPC Role Location DoDAAC will be the SAME as their Home Organization DoDAAC. 24 June 2019 Page 1 of 2 3OP:018 PIEE DAU DPC/Purchase Card (Can be clicked in Slide Show mode)

What DoDAAC Should I Enter?
GPC Program Participants SP3 How do I find my Home Organization DoDAAC? If you work for an organization that awards contracts, your Home Organization DoDAAC is the first 6 digits of your organization’s contract numbers. If you work in an organization that has to request another organization to award contracts for you, your supervisor or the person who approves your Component’s release of Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPRs) and/or issues requests for contract actions should be able to tell you what your Home Organization DoDAAC is. If you are currently a PIEE user who has access to only one location code in the PIEE Suite, that is likely your Home Organization DoDAAC. How many roles do I need? Although you can have as many roles as you need within PIEE/JAM, you are only required to be appointed once per authorizing organization. For example, as a CH sitting at DoDAAC ABC999 (Home Organization), who makes purchases for multiple organizations (i.e., performs GPC duties for multiple organizations), you should be appointed to DoDAAC ABC123 (Primary Role Location DoDAAC) even if you additionally support organizations CDE234, CDE456, and CDE223. The DoDAAC(s) of the other supported organization(s) may, but are not required to, be entered by the appointment initiator as added text that will be included on the letter. If, however, you will be supporting a second set of DoDAACs in the CH role whose authority originates from a different organization, you may be required to have a second appointment. PIEE also uses Groups to manage the PIEE Hierarchy. See 3OP019, Understanding How DoDAACs Are Used in PIEE/JAM. 24 June 2019 Page 2 of 2 3OP:018 PIEE DAU DPC/Purchase Card (Can be clicked in Slide Show mode)
