Rule Synopsis State Board of Education Rule
Dual Enrollment – Move On When Ready
The amendment includes the following:
• The title of the rule will be shortened from Dual Enrollment – Move On When Ready to Dual Enrollment.
• Updated the O.C.G.A. reference in the definition of Commission.
• Changed the definition of Program to Programs, and clarified the definition.
• Dual enrollment program requirements were separated into two separate sections within the rule to delineate differences between two current options provided in state law, which are codified in the rule as Option A and Option B respectively.

9. High School Graduation Opportunity Revision
SB 2
Formerly SB2 (2015) and not real clear with what are the required courses.
Revision goes before GA State Board in June
Separating the two Dual Enrollment Programs into:
Option A - Regular DE student who will complete 23 required HS credits
Option B – DE student who will complete required 9 HS credits and either an associate degree, a technical diploma or 2 technical certificates in the same High Need Identified area
