Monday Day 1 Objective & Bell Work
Objective- Day 1 The Student Will: Monday--Objective(s)—TSW utilize and credit sources appropriately by avoiding plagiarism with the cyber safety unit. The student will demonstrate effective keyboarding skills by learning new keys. Bell Work Day 1 Monday Pre-Bell Activity: : List three (3) things you could do if you were cyber bullied in complete sentences.

Monday Daily Agenda Complete Pre bell Assignment-5 Mins
Introduce Lesson/Module and purpose. Explain Homework and Due on Thursday. Explain to the class that the goal of this unit/module is to write texts for a brochure in which you explain forms of cyber-bullying and learn more about what can be done to be safe online. Support your discussion with evidence from the texts. Begin 1st Mini Lesson-15 mins. Citations and Plagiarism View, Read, & take notes on Citations and Plagiarism Power Point—See Teacher Web Site Begin Edu Typing Lesson for today—Work on for 20 mins Wrap up lesson with a review question concerning cyber bullying/ Citations & Plagiarism

TUES. DAY 2 OBJECTIVE & BELL WORK
Day 2 Objectives: The student will: analyze the importance of linking reading/viewing results to the writing task about the cyber safety unit through free writing. ability to plan their writing by developing a line of thought and text structure appropriate to an informational /explanatory task. demonstrate effective keyboarding skills by learning new keys Bell Work Activity Day 2 Explain three (3) technologies that can be used in cyber bullying?

Tues. Day 2 Daily Agenda Begin Bell Work and discuss answers.
Review lesson from previous day and introduce today’s lesson. Begin Mini lessons -10 mins. The students will take out their notes on Cyber bullying/handouts from teacher (previous week). Tell the students to free write about what they have learned on cyberbullying/cyber safety. Tell the students to use complete sentences, but they do not have to be perfect writer. Begin Mini Lesson mins. 1. Pass out the “Planning Students’ Writing- Handout Sheet. Project the example on the board as well. Have students refer to notes taken previously in class on cyber-bullying. Students will group bulleted items from notes into categories of information and begin writing process. Closure of lesson with a review

Wed. Day 3 Objective & bell work
Day 3 Objectives: The student will: use their ability to establish a controlling idea and consolidate information relevant to the task in the introductory paragraph. construct an initial draft with an emerging line of thought in the body of paragraphs demonstrate effective keyboarding skills by learning new keys. Day 3 Bell Work Activity: Explain two (2) ways cyber bullied might affect someone your age.

Day 3 Daily Agenda Mini lesson 1-Vocabulary skills and Chunking Paragraphs-Writing Process: Teacher will review Vocab. Terms: cyber-bullying, harassing, deceiving, flaming, hate speech, digital footprint, online search, persistent, imagery, bystander, up stander, and empathize. Product: Use last week Vocabulary table for review. Remind students that most of the evidence they have collected in regard to forms of cyberbullying and being safe online.(task) has been in the form of quotations in their journal, handouts/ organizer. Students will view appropriate slides from the Chunking PowerPoint and direct them to the template in their notes. Be sure to pay special attention to the examples in the PowerPoint and give students an opportunity to practice one "chunk" and share it with a partner. Visit each set of students and provide guidance and suggestions. Continue to monitor and confer with students as they develop 3 chunked paragraphs. Optional: For Advanced students, they will work on the cyber bullying using the Frayer Vocabulary Model. For Remediation students, they will utilize the cyber bullying with with this vocabulary concepts. Closure: Think –Pair-Share

Day 4 Thurs. obj. & bell work
Day 4 Objectives: The student will: revise and refine text including line of thought, language usage, and tone as appropriate to audience on cyber bullying module demonstrate effective keyboarding skills by learning new keys. Day 4 Bell Work Activity Describe one of the safety vocabulary term that we discussed in this cyber bullying module.

Day 4 Daily Agenda Begin Pre-Bell Activity and discuss
Introduce lesson: revise and refine text into your own writing. /Review previous lesson. Teacher will check homework on cyberbullying activity. 1. The student will begin revising and Explain: Once you've revised your writing, it's time to edit. When editing, use the CUPS strategy. Display the CUPS strategy (i.e. anchor charts, projected for students, etc. Check the following in your writing and when peer editing: Capitalization Usage Punctuation Spelling Briefly review the CUPS strategy with the students who have used it before. For students unfamiliar with this strategy, model how to edit for capitalization, usage, punctuation, and spelling with a example text (suggestion: use a piece of your own writing to edit) assign students to partners to employ the CUPS strategy with a piece of their writing walk around and give feedback to students where needed Invite students to conference with their partner, outlining and explaining the edits made. Optional: For Advanced students, they will work on the cyber bullying using the Frayer Vocabulary Model. For Remediation students, they will utilize the cyber bullying with with this vocabulary concepts. -I-READY –LANG. OR MATH-- Down Time ONLY . Teacher will review all notes for Post Test on Cyber bullying/Cyber Safety on Friday. Study!!!

Friday Day 5 objective & Bell work
Day 5 Objectives: The student will: demonstrate their strengths and weaknesses on skills learned in the cyberbullying module with 70% accuracy on Post Test. edit, proofread, and format your brochure-text to make it more effective. Day 5 Bell Work What is the definition of cyberbullying?

Day 5 Friday Daily agenda
Objectives: connect reading results to writing task by writing notes from video and articles viewed on cyber safety/cyber bullying. The student will demonstrate effective keyboarding skills by learning new keys. Discuss respect for others’ work to assemble evidence and create texts. view powerpoint on plagiarism. Discuss academic penalties for stealing others thoughts and words.
