Tripping over electrical cords or wires and housekeeping clutter.
Using a chair or stacks of boxes for a ladder.
Slipping on wet floors snow or ice.
Tripping over uneven floor surfaces

TIP FOR PREVENTION
Keeping working surfaces clean, dry, and uncluttered
Keep pathways and walkways open and unobstructed.
Keep electrical cords out of walkways, if they are necessary, then purchase strip covers.
Use a stepladder instead of a chair or a stack of boxes.
Clean up spills & purchase a “wet floor” sign to flag these areas or get mats for the entrances.
Don’t talk on cell phone or perform multiple tasks
Wear shoes with non-slip soles.
Avoid carrying loads that block your vision.

Well illuminated parking areas and walkways.
Unobstructed aisles and walkways.
Staircases in good repair
Sidewalks and entryways and parking lots in good repair
Avoid standing water.
Pay attention, walk slow with small steps on slippery surfaces if you must.
Do not walk through parking spaces (especially where an engine would be parked) due to oil on the pavement.
